Our family story
We’re a family from California who found this magical place in 2025 while searching for a slower, more grounded way of living, and instantly knew it was meant to be shared. Bredsjö Herrgård became our home and our retreat, a place where families, nature lovers, and the wellness-inspired can reconnect with what truly matters. Here, days are filled with forest hikes, lake paddles, biking, training, swimming, stretching, sauna heat, shared meals, and deep, nourishing rest. Kids roam freely, conversations stretch long by the fire, and time slows just enough for you to feel like yourself again. From our family to yours, welcome.

Marc
Marc is a lifelong fitness professional and educator, known for meeting people exactly where they are. From professional athletes to older adults rebuilding strength after injury, his work is rooted in care, precision, and deep respect for the body’s intelligence.
A child of the 60s, Marc grew up traveling across Europe in a VW bus with his mother, an upbringing that shaped his curiosity, adaptability, and people-first approach. As he approaches his 60th birthday, he’s proving that growth never stops: learning to play the guitar, refining his craft, and continuing to help others move, heal, and feel at home in their bodies.
Erika
Erika is a self-proclaimed serial entrepreneur and unapologetic Sagittarius, powered by curiosity, courage, and a deep love of learning. Armed with two master’s degrees in business and conflict resolution, she somehow still prefers experience over theory, living first and thinking second.
A yoga student for more than 20 years and recently a certified yoga teacher, she’s now embracing a calmer, more grounded way of living (most days). Personal health challenges have sharpened her passion for holistic nutrition and sustainable wellbeing, shaping a life and body of work rooted in balance, adventure, and the belief that growth should feel magical and alive, not exhausting.
Ian & Rico
Ian and Rico are the heart and heartbeat of the Gård. Ian, six years old and full of unbridled enthusiasm, is a true child of the world, born in Morocco, growing up in Sweden, and endlessly curious about everything. He spends his days building LEGO worlds, sledding at full speed and paddleboarding on calm water. As the Gårds Animal Caretaker, he approaches life with joy, responsibility, and boundless imagination.
Rico, a 12-year-old rescue dog from Mexico, is the estate’s devoted guardian and resident philosopher, enthusiastically barking at deer and birds before planting himself firmly on the antique couches around the Disponenten, keeping a watchful eye on the world he knows is finally and forever home.
